At Top Shelf, being part of the community means more than just showing up for service calls—it means looking out for the people who live here. That’s why we created the Ugly Furnace Contest: to help homeowners stuck with old, unreliable furnaces get the comfort they deserve without added stress.
We were blown away by the number of entries and the stories behind them, and honestly… choosing just one winner didn’t feel right. So this year, we picked two. Alex and Michelle both received much-needed furnace upgrades, and we couldn’t be happier for them. They’re pictured here with one of our service experts, Aiden, who helped bring these upgrades to life (and yes, Alex’s pup made a guest appearance too).
Giving back is something we genuinely care about, and opportunities like this remind us why we love serving this community. Thanks to everyone who entered and shared their story—we’re proud to be your local HVAC team.

Alex’s furnace was well past its prime – Even his pup joined the celebration, posing proudly next to our Service Expert, Aiden. Seeing Alex’s relief and gratitude reaffirmed our belief that going above and beyond is exactly what the community needs.
Meet Michelle
One of our winners, Michelle, was thrilled (and a bit shocked!) when we gave her the call. She thought it was a prank! Her furnace had seen better days, and replacing it was something she hoped for but didn’t expect anytime soon.
